The following is a quick outline of some of the projects undertaken in that time.
Project No.1 - I was the Project Director on a Asset Strategy Program implementation across 5 large Pharmaceutical sites. I developed the project charter and agreed this with the client as they were the most influential & powerful stakeholder involved. After approval I was responsible for the phased planning and deployment of each work package. I lead the monthly governance process, constantly reviewing the status and variance from our project plan. I lead the quarterly roadshows to ensure everyone was kept focused on the key project deliverables. I closed the project by transfering the project outputs to the Ops team.
Project No. 2 - I was Project Director on this project to decommission two Pharmaceutical Facilities. I initially met with the client to develop a project charter and ran workshops with key stakeholders to defined the scope & establish teams for each work breakdown structure. I developed the schedule and identified the critical path. I identified costs and negotiated the phased reduction in services and financial implications. I engaged weekly with the stakeholders, involving them in risk identification, control measures, and change control. I formally closed the projects successfully on time with no compliance issues.
Project No. 3 - I was the Project Director for a University campus accommodation refurbishment. I negotiated the project with the client & built a Project Plan detailing the time, cost, quality, vendors & communications requirements. Working with each building owner I communicated the details of the project weekly, & co-ordinated task activities to ensure minimum disruption to residents. After the first phase I completed a lessons learned & in agreement with the client, restructured my schedule to improve the project execution. I compiled the handover certs/invoices to close the project.
Project No. 4 - I was the Project Director for a large complex Lighting infrastructure retrofit project. This project required extensive planning & engagement with multiple stakeholders. I negotiated the project with the client & following the compilation of a Project Plan detailing the scope, schedule, cost, quality, specialist materials & communications requirements, I restructured the project & brought in an external finance company, reshaping the project to a Lighting as a Service model. I ensured governance through both formal & informal meetings. I closed the project saving the client over €1 million in Capex funding.
Project No. 5 - As Project Manager, I initiated and developed the scope of work, schedule, costs and standards to be used for onboarding two new facilities management & environmental management companies for a large Pharmaceutical a Facility. After establishing the key client objectives with the site leadership, I then worked directly in implementing the plan over a five month period. I held daily meetings to ensure each task activity was implement & any variations were addressed immediately. I closed out the project successfully with two contracts signed on time and on budget saving the client over €700k.
